MEDIA ALERT COUNTRY LIVING FAIR CELEBRATES 10th ANNIVERSARY IN COLUMBUS, OHIO

September 5, 2017

SEPTEMBER 15-17, 2017

In celebration of the Fair’s 10th anniversary, there will be 10 prize giveaways each valued at a minimum of $10 to the first 10 names randomly drawn. Drawing will be held daily at 2 p.m. at the Town Hall.

WHAT: The Country Living Fair brings the magazine’s content to life and gives readers access to a unique shopping experience featuring more than 200 vendors from 25 states, including antiques sellers, food purveyors, artists, furniture makers, crafters, and more. Guests will also have a chance to meet Country Living editors and their special guests; attend cooking, crafting, and DIY demonstrations, workshops, and book signings; sample locally sourced, artisanal food; and shop the Country Living General Store.

4:00 p.m.: Main Stage: Jana Platina Phipps, “The Trim Queen” will present embellishment DIY tricks for decorating with trimmings.

11:00 a.m.: Main Stage: Melissa Caughey of Tilly’s Nest, HGTV.com writer and contributor, will present how to make an airplant wreath, followed by a meet & greet.

11:30 a.m.: Kitchen Stage: Madeleine Frank Reeves, Senior Editor of Country Living, will do a demo on decorating pumpkins and other holiday crafts from the pages of Country Living.

12:00 p.m.: Main Stage: Jana Platina Phipps, “The Trim Queen” will present embellishment DIY tricks for decorating with trimmings.

12:30 p.m.: Kitchen Stage: Brent Ridge and Josh Kilmer-Purcell of “The Fabulous Beekman Boys” will be doing a cooking demo on Spaetzle, followed by a signing for their book Beekman 1802: A Seat at the Table. Books will also be available for purchase onsite.

11:30 a.m.: Kitchen Stage: Nellie Ashmore of That Girl’s Flowers will demonstrate farm fresh flower arranging.

12:00 p.m.: Main Stage: Janine Petitt, of Girl Camper, will present DIY camping crafts.

12:30 p.m.: Kitchen Stage: Ann Marie Craig of Century Farmhouse will be doing a cooking demo on lavender coconut macaroons.

1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.: Main Stage: Gus ‘Squashcarver’ Smithhisler will carve a 500 lb. pumpkin into a surprise design.

2:30 p.m.: Kitchen Stage: Raema Rotindo of Rockerbox Spice Co. will be doing a cooking demo on three easy and delicious summer cookout dishes.

TICKETS:  One-day admission is $13 in advance and $16 at the door; three-day weekend passes are available for $15 in advance and $20 at the door;

An Early Bird three-day weekend pass is available for $40 and grants early admission at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday;

Free admission for children ages 16 and under.

The Fair is held rain or shine and usual parking fees apply.
